United Electric Cooperative Rates

To maintain United Electric Cooperative’s standard for reliable electricity and service, your board of

directors has approved a rate increase of approximately 9 percent, effective July 1, 2024 . This

increase will be reflected on the bill you receive in August. As a member-owned, not-for-profit

cooperative,  United Electric works hard to control costs and help members save on their power bills

to minimize the effects of a rate increase. We have held our rates steady for over eight years due to the

success of our subsidiary, United Services.

Unfortunately, these economic pressures have been knocking on our doorstep for several years. Since  our last rate

increase in 2016, the expenses associated with delivering electrical services have notably  risen. Given the

escalating costs of providing service to our members and rate increases from our  wholesale power supplier,

NW Electric Cooperative, this increase is unavoidable. Rest assured, we remain dedicated to delivering

uninterrupted and dependable service to you, our members. We appreciate your continued support as we

navigate these economic challenges together.  Below you will find our rate schedules effective July 1, 2024.
